GMR requests BCCI for tripartite meeting with DDCA on IPL

The GMR Sports Private limited, the owners of IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils, have requested the BCCI for a tripartite meeting with the under-fire Delhi and Districts Cricket Association (DDCA) in order to get a clearer picture about their home matches at the Feroz Shah Kotla.
A senior DDCA office-bearer today acknowledged that GMR has indeed asked for a tripartite meeting in presence of top BCCI officials.
"Obviously with uncertainty looming large on future of ICC World T20 matches at the Feroz Shah Kotla, the GMR officials are worried. They want a dialogue with us but in presence of BCCI top officials. They want a concrete picture of what is happening regarding the IPL matches that starts in a week after World T20," a DDCA official told PTI on conditions of anonymity.

"Perhaps they want the parent body to mediate due to the lack of co-ordination and communication on part of DDCA, which is perfectly understandable. We want to assure them that IPL matches in Delhi would not be in danger," the DDCA official added.
On Tuesday, top GMR officials also met Justice Mukul Mudgal, a meeting that they was termed as informal and they did not wish to divulge on the kind of discussions that they have had.
