"Goa is an example of harmony and tranquillity and my government believes in strengthening the bonds of amity through peaceful resolution of disputes and differences through dialogue and discussions," Sinha said while addressing the state Legislative Assembly session which began today.
"Attempts by any group or section to disturb the peace and tranquillity by means other than democratic, shall be met with full force of law," she said without naming any organisation.
She said the state government has made sincere efforts to enhance capabilities of Goa Police.
Sinha also expressed satisfaction over the safety and security of women in the tourist state.
"I take great satisfaction in mentioning that while effectively keeping the law and order situation in control in the state, the government has also paid extra attention to issues relating to security and safety of women in Goa," she said.
