Goa: Portuguese national held with drugs worth Rs 22 lakh

A 42-year-old Portuguese national was arrested from Margao on Sunday for allegedly possessing drugs worth Rs 22 lakh, police said.
Antonio Manuel Faria Ramos of Portugal was caught with 101 grams of MDMA, 110 grams of cocaine and 240 grams charas, worth over Rs 22.40 lakh, an Anti Narcotics Cell official said.
"He has said he came to Goa from Pushkar in Rajasthan to peddle drugs in the New Year festive season. Probe is underway under the NDPS Act," the official said.
