Gold ornaments weighing 50 sovereigns and Rs.50,000 were today found robbed from a house here, police said.
The owner of the house had gone to Chengalpattu and his wife and daughter-in-law were alone at home.
As the daughter-in-law developed labour pains last night, his wife rushed her to hospital after locking the house door and keeping the key near it.
When she returned this morning, she found the door open and the bureau broken open and the valuables missing.
