"Today a team of state BJP unit had met governor M K Narayanan and had submitted a deputation to him about the law and order situation and violence on opposition parties. He had inquired about those who had been attacked and had expressed concern," Sinha said after the meeting.
"He had also inquired about those who are in hospital. I think that he will report to President Pranab Mukherjee as he will be in town today," Sinha said.
A five-member BJP delegation visited Sandeshkhali in North 24 Parganas district where 30 BJP workers were injured in firing allegedly by Trinamool Congress supporters on May 28.
The team comprised party spokesperson Meenakshi Lekhi, Vice-Presidents S S Aluwahlia, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, in-charge of the state Siddharth Nath Singh and BJP MP Babul Supriyo
The team visited the injured in the hospital and spoke to their family members.
