"N N Vohra, Governor, Jammu and Kashmir, in exercise of the powers conferred upon him under Section 53 of the State Constitution, has issued orders to prorogue both Houses of the State Legislature," an official spokesman said here today.
The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly was adjourned sine die on April 9 after transacting business for 17 days during the Budget Session.
The state's Legislative council was also adjourned sine die on April 12.
