Govt reconstitutes Sports Development Fund

The new council will have 11 members, including secretary and joint secretary in the Sports Ministry, Sports Authority of India Director General, Secretary Department of Public Enterprises or his representative and Financial Advisor to Sports Ministry in ex-officio capacities.

Representatives from FICCI, CII, ASSOCHAM and two by rotation from Services Sports Control Board, Petroleum Sports Control Board, Railway Sports Promotion Board, All India Police Sports Control Board and SAIL Sports Control Board will also be members of the council.

The government also constituted Executive Committee of the NSDF to manage day-to-day working of the Fund with the Joint Secretary in the Sports Ministry as the ex-officio president.

The other members of the executive committee of NSDF are Secretary SAI, Director/Deputy Secretary (Finance) and Director/Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Sports, a release said. PTI PDS
