Govt trying to check migration: Jharkhand CM

Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das today said his government was trying to check migration by providing jobs to the people in the state, an official release said.
He said the Momentum Jharkhand-a Global Investors meet held in February last year at Ranchi-was the beginning to check migration.
Laying the foundation of stone of 7th phase of Ramkrishna Forging Limited (RKFL) in Seraikela-Kharswan district, Das said his government would provide one lakh jobs and assured that no outsider would be appointed.
The governments initiatives such as Momentum Jharkhand, Skill Jharkhand, etc has created conducive atmosphere for investment in the state, the release said quoting Das.
Hailing 3.25 crore populace of the state for accepting the change, the chief minister said unemployment and poverty had been the biggest challenge before the government.
Investors would certainly invest in the state if the intention and policies of the government were good, Das said claiming that his government has created a conducive atmosphere for investment in the state and investment has started taking place.
Das said the new plant would produce railway and auto components and would be the 2nd largest company in the country.
Referring opportunities for industrial growth in the mineral-rich state, the chief minister said forging and foundry segment has immense potential for growth in Jharkhand, which also has plenty of opportunity for the textile sector as well.
We have framed a textile policy, which is the best policy of the country, he said announcing that a Gujarat-based textile company will set up its unit in Seraikela-Kharswan district.
A foundation stone laying ceremony of the proposed company is schedule to take place in March, he said.
Jharkhand produces 82 per cent cocoon of the country and thread produced in the state was in great demand in the domestic as well as international market, he claimed.
Our target is to improve in segments like silk, sweet revolution, lac and handicraft, he said assuring that Jharkhand would be in the category of developed state of the country by 2022.
The chief minister said Adivasi Vikas Samity would be formed in villages having 50 per cent tribal population and a Gram Vikas Samity in village having less than 50 per cent population of adivasis.
The development fund would be given to these samities to carry out development works such as setting up Dova (small ponds), well, check dam etc and also assured to provide the benefits of Ujjawala Yojana in remote villages.
Later, Das also inaugurated the CCTV Monitoring system set up by the district administration.
