Fans of "Grey's Anatomy" are still reeling from the tragic death of Dr Derek "McDreamy" Shepard on the show and have now started an online campaign to bring Patrick Demsey's character back on the medical TV series.
Courtney Williams has started a Change.Org petition directed at creator Shonda Rimes, ABC and Dempsey, requesting the return of the beloved character.
The 600-plus-word description details, in no uncertain terms, the betrayal felt by the Grey's fan base, reported People magazine.
"This is important because you cannot have people invest a decade into a character and then you just terminate them like that," Williams wrote.
"You have people out here donating blood and organs trying to save lives, wanting to become doctors and all from committing to this television show ... Just to let us down like this. You've destroyed us."
Williams primarily took the issue about how Rimes and ABC killed off the character, and how his death was handled: "Because of the negligent hospital he can't even donate his organs and live on in other characters!"
"I can't even continue watching the show knowing that McDreamy's eyes, heart, lungs, kidneys, or liver are still living amongst other fictional characters?
"People are not sleeping nor eating because of this tragic turn of events," Williams added, before suggesting that Rimes and ABC make the episode "a dreamt one" or possibly "a hallucination."
She also mentioned the possibility of legal action.
Rimes, Dempsey and ABC have yet to publicly comment.
