Groundnut oil firmed up in an otherwise listless Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
Elsewhere, linseeds oil also went marginally up owing to good demand from paint and allied industries.
While, refined palmolein, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial ruled steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edibles section, groundnut oil rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 875 from last Saturday's closing level of Rs 870 and refined palmolein ended unaltered at Rs 722 per 10 kg.
Moving the non-edibles segment, linseeds oil edged up by Rs 2 per 10 kg to Rs 785 from Rs 783 previously.
However, castor seeds bold and castor oil commercial closed unchanged at Rs 4,130 per 100 kg and Rs 856 per 10 kg, respectively.
