Elsewhere, refined palmolein also firmed up on subdued demand from retailers.
Meanwhile, castorseed bold, castoroil commercial weakened further on reduced demand from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil advanced on persistent demand from paint industries.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 980 from Monday's closing level of Rs 970 and refined palmolein rose up by Rs 6 per 10kg to Rs 563.
Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold dipped by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,125 as against Rs 3,150 yesterday and castor oil commercial went down by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 655 as compared to Rs 660.
