Groundnut oil surges on sustained demand

Groundnut oil prices surged further at the Vashi oils and oilseeds wholesale market here today on sustained demand from stockists and retailers.
While, refined palmolein edged down owing to lack of buying support.
In the non-edible section, castorseeds bold and castor oil commercial gained due to good offtake from shippers and soap industries.
Linseed oil remained steady in the absence of any major buying activity.
In the edible segment, groundnut oil rose by Rs 10 per 10 kg to Rs 970 from Thursday's closing level of Rs 960.
However, refined palmolein softened by a Re per 10 kg to Rs 504.

Moving to non-edible segment, castorseeds bold gained by Rs 25 per 100 kg to Rs 3,975 from Rs 3,950 and castor oil commercial rose by Rs 5 per 10 kg to Rs 825 as compared to Rs 820 yesterday.
Linseed oil remained unaltered at Rs 790 per 10 kg.
