Guarseed futures traded lower by Rs 42 to Rs 3,815 per quintal today as participants indulged in reducing their exposure amid a weak trend at the domestic spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, guarseed for delivery in November month contracts was trading Rs 42, or 1.09 per cent, down at Rs 3,815 per quintal, with an open interest of 10,140 lots.
In similar manners, guarseed for delivery in far-month October fell by Rs 38, or 1.00 per cent to Rs 3,776 per quintal, having an open interest of 1,01, 390 lots.
Marketmen attributed persistent fall in guarseed prices at futures trade to offloading of positions by participants, triggered by a weak trend at the physical markets due to slackened demand against supply pressure.
