"Action plan of mutual co-operation between Gujarat and Guangdong was signed in the presence of Gujarat Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and Governor of Guangdong Province Zhu Xiaodan at Gandhinagar today," an official statement said.
Guangdong and Gujarat had signed sister state agreement during the visit of Chinese premier Xi Jinping to Ahmedabad in September 2014. Later, during Prime Minister's visit to China in May this year, Patel, who had accompanied him, had signed 12 MoUs with for industrial and cultural promotion.
According to the release, under the action plan, Gujarat and China will achieve new landmarks with mutual co-operation in the fields of industrial relation, manufacturing, electronics, infrastructure, smart city and people-to-people connect.
The delegation will visit various places in the state to analyse opportunities of investment with reference to 12 MOUs signed during Patel's China visit in May this year.
Addressing the meeting, Patel said that Gujarat government will help China Association of Small and Medium Enterprise (CASME) by providing interest assistance on industrial shed loan for building industrial park in the state as per the MOUs signed between both states.
The co-operation with Gujarat will open a new chapter of relation between India-China, Guangdong Governor said.
"The relationship between the two economically progressive provinces will create win-win situation for both the states," the Governor said.
Xiaodan shared details about various companies who are in-process to invest and establish manufacturing plants in Gujarat.
