Shridhar S Ramachandran (35), an Indian Revenue Service officer was arrested and produced in court which set him free on a bail of Rs 50,000, said Sandeep Patil, the police officer attached to the Kasturba Marg police station.
A case was registered under the sections 354 (d) (stalking) and 506 (intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
"We arrested him after the woman who lives in (suburban) Borivali filed a complaint," Patil said.
Ramachandran is posted at Nadiyad in Gujarat and was in the city to appear before a court in connection with a case of molestation which the victim had filed against him in January this year. He was on interim bail in that case.
