AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal today attacked BJP Prime Ministerial candidate Narendra Modi's Gujarat model of development, claiming it is "overhyped" as he has seen "crumbling" infrastructure and "poor" healthcare facilities in the BJP-ruled state.
Addressing the India Today Conclave, he also trained his guns at Mukesh Ambani and Adani group, alleging they were running the country.
"Who is controlling the country today? Is Manmohan Singh or Sonia Gandhi running the country? I don't think so. This country is being run by a few people like Mukesh Ambani. And tomorrow if this government is changed and Modiji becomes the Prime Minister, then will Modiji govern the country? I don't think so. The same Ambani and Adani will run the country," said Kejriwal.
"Now is the time to think whether we want to change the party or the system," he said, adding "we would have to end the politics of both Congress and BJP to establish the rule of honesty".
On Gujarat's development, Kejriwal claimed that during his visit he found that talk of all-round development is not based on reality.
"Roads are only highways. There are no roads in villages. I have pictures showing bad roads in Modiji's own constituency from where he has been contesting elections for the past 15 years. I went to a school there, filth was scattered all around," Kejriwal said.
Responding to the charge of being a Congress agent, Kejriwal said "the number of Congress scams we have exposed, none has done that ever before. Who exposed Robert Vadra's land scams? It was not exposed by Modiji or Arun Jaitley or BJP. It was exposed by us."
"The papers I showed to expose Vadra lands scams have been lying with the top most leaders of BJP for the last one and half years. BJP never showed those papers because there was a deal between the parties", he added.
