"Bainsla is stable and under observation of a team of five doctors," said SMS Hospital Superintendent, Dr Ajit Singh.
Gujjar was admitted to the hospital after he felt uneasy during a community meeting in Karauli district yesterday to discuss reservation issues.
"His ECG was a bit abnormal yesterday, but his vitals like blood pressure and pulse are normal," said Dr Singh adding the Gujjar leader had an angioplasty in 2015, which may be a reason for his unease."
Meanwhile, a string of political leaders cutting across the party line visited the hospital to see Bainsla.
"I have instructed the doctors to take care of Colonel Bainsla. All arrangements have been made and we hope that he will be fit in a couple of days," he said.
