Gur closes quiet in Delhi, gur Khurpa drops in Muzaffarnagar

Wholesale gur(jaggery) market pegged at overnight levels in the national capital today with prices after range-bound movements on little doing, ended at previous closing levels.
On the other hand, gur Khurpa prices in Muzaffarnagar dropped by Rs 100 per quintal owing to lack of buying support amid constant supplies.
Marketmen said relentless arrivals from manufacturing areas coupled with restricted buying activity, mainly pulled down gur khurpa prices in Muzaffarnagar.
In Muzaffarnagar, gur Khurpa prices settled lower by Rs 100 to end the day at Rs 2,600-2,650 per quintal.
Following are today's rates (in Rs per quintal):
Gur chakku Rs 2,900-3,000, pedi Rs 3,100-3,200, dhayya Rs 3,200-3,300 and shakkar Rs 3,500-3,600.

Muzaffarnagar: Rasket Rs 2,400-2,450, chakku Rs 2,500-2,900, khurpa Rs 2,600-2,650 and Ladoo Rs 2,800-2,850.
Muradnagar: Pedi Rs 2,900-2950 and dhayya Rs 2,950-3,000.
