The DM issued orders under Section 144 of CrPC, under which the Joint Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurgaon has been directed to get rid of the pigs.
The orders said that the municipal authorities would ensure that the pigs do not in any case manage to come back or are brought back within the municipal limits of Gurgaon.
The DM has observed that the number of unconfined and wandering pigs moving in an uncontrolled manner on the roads and other places including residential and commercial area has reached an alarming proportion.
Because of this, DM has imposed prohibitory orders under section 144 IPC with immediate effect.
