Gurucharan to hold addl charge of DG, BIS

Senior IAS officer G Gurucharan was today given additional charge of Director General, Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) for three months.
Gurucharan, a 1982-batch IAS officer of Karnataka cadre, is presently Additional Secretary in Department of Food and Public Distribution.
He will hold the additional charge till the appointment of a regular incumbent or until further orders, an order issued by Department of Personnel and Training said.
In another order, Anoop Kumar Srivastava has been given additional charge of Secretary, Inter State Council Secretariat under Home Ministry for three months.
Srivastava, a 1981-batch IAS officer of Assam-Meghalaya cadre, is working as Secretary (Border Management) in the ministry.
