Presiding over a monthly meeting of the District Public Relations and Grievances Redressal Committee in Gurgaon, he also ordered at least 25 per cent of old developed colonies of DLF be transferred to Gurgaon Municipal Corporation, an official release said.
Khattra issued the orders on the complaint of president, Resident Welfare Association, DLF Phase-IV in Gurgaon, who had said the colony was under construction for the last 27 years and DLF was allegedly not providing facilities like security, water, sewerage and lighting to the plot holders, it said.
On this, HUDA Administrator Hardeep Singh said 380 civil writ petitions related to such land were pending in the High Court. Khattar also directed HUDA officers fence the acquired land and install signboards.
Khattar said the government has decided to frame a policy for street vendors in Gurgaon.
The policy is being framed after studying the system of developed cities across the world, Joint Commissioner of Gurgaon Municipal Corporation Vivek Kalia said, adding a survey has revealed that 14,172 street vendors are operating in the municipal corporation area.
The state government has also constituted a Town Vending committee, comprising MLA, Gurgaon District Town Planner and officers of HUDA, district administration, police and officials of other departments which would meet next week.
