Har govt renaming projects announced by Cong: Hooda

Former Haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today alleged that the BJP government in the state was only renaming projects and reversing decisions of the previous Congress dispensation.
The BJP had made tall pre-poll promises and had also claimed that if voted to power it would be a "game-changer", but it has turned out to be just a "name-changer", he alleged after voting in the presidential election.
"The only credit that can be given to this government is that they have been reversing decisions of the previous government and changing names of old and already announced schemes and projects, and presenting them as new," Hooda said.

He alleged that the Manohar Lal Khattar government, which would complete three years in office in October, had "failed" on all fronts.
"Their (BJP government) performance sheet is blank. When people used to ask me how many marks I would give them when they complete a year in office, I used to tell them, I cannot give marks less than zero.
"But, today, I think, they deserve minus points for their performance," Hooda said.

He claimed that the BJP had failed to implement even one its promises.
"They had made 154 promises before the elections in 2014, but they failed to fulfill even one. It is just changing names of our schemes and projects. They are not doing any work. They are only giving slogans. Their achievement is nil," he said.

The Congress leader claimed that all sections, including farmers, traders, labourers, employees, poor and Dalits, were unhappy with the present regime.
"I have never seen people getting disenchanted by the government whom they have elected. This government has failed to create faith among the people of the state," he said, adding "this government is completely direction-less".
Hooda demanded that the state government should issue a white paper on the tall claims of investments worth crores of rupees in the state.
"They claimed that MoUs worth over Rs 6 lakh crore had been signed during various summits and meetings and investments were on ground. But where are these investments, we want to know. They should issue a white paper to clear their position," he said.

"Haryana was carved out in 1966, from that year till 2014, the total debt of the state was Rs 71,000 crore, which crossed Rs 1.40 lakh crore in just three years of their rule," Hooda said.
On the employment, he said, "As far as giving employment goes, if you take figures of the Gurgaon Employment Exchange, on an average it comes to giving one job in one year. They had promised to give two lakh jobs per year, this claim to proved to be hollow".
"During Congress's time, we had set up four power plants. But what is the situation today, in Yamunanagar, one unit is lying closed... Haryana is suffering because of their anti-people decisions," he claimed.
