Hardcore criminal arrested; booked under PSA in J-K

The Jammu and Kashmir Police today claimed to have arrested a hardcore criminal and booked him under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) in Samba district, a police official said.
Daleep Kumar alias Deepa of Samba was involved in a number of heinous offences, the official said.
The dossier for the detention of the criminal was submitted in the office of the district magistrate Samba by Senior Superintendent of Police, he said, adding Daleep was the main accused in several cases including attempt to murder.
District Magistrate Samba Sheetal Nanda issued the PSA warrant for detention of Daleep under the provisions of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA).

The PSA warrant has been executed and the accused has been sent to jail, the official said.
