The action project marks director Vikramaditya Motwane's first after 2013 film "Lootera".
"Back on set schedule 2 #bhaveshjoshi with Vik," the 26-year-old actor posted on Instagram along with a black and white picture of Motwane sitting behind the camera.
"Bhavesh Joshi" was initially supposed to star Imran Khan in the lead but Imran had to opt out of the project owing to certain issues and the project went into a limbo for the lack of a lead.
Harshvardhan, son of actor Anil Kapoor, made his Bollywood debut with director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's "Mirzya".
