The short session would prove to be an acid test for the ruling party as it would be hard pressed to explain its position on a variety of issues.
Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar has alleged that the Manohar Lal Khattar-led BJP government has failed on various fronts.
"There is no achievement to show in the past 13 months as the Khattar government has been a complete failure," he said, adding, the issues which will be raised by Congress include alleged paddy scam, power issue, employees and farmers plight.
He said the party will raise in the assembly an "anti-employee" decision of the Khattar Government in which it had recently said that its employees will not be entitled to mass casual leaves for participating in dharnas, demonstrations, strikes and agitations.
INLD will also raise the paddy scam, the BJP government's turnaround on poll promises and the plight of farmers among other issues, he said.
"The government is also silent on the rollback of hiked power rates. They talked about implementing the Swaminathan Commission report for the farmers but did nothing. We have submitted a chargesheet to the government on the misdeeds and scams of the Congress regime and will ask what steps it has taken in this regard," Arora said.
Asserting that the party was ready to take on the Opposition, Haryana Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said, "With the coming of the BJP government in the state, an era of all-round development has begun. We are open to debate on any issue the Opposition might raise on the floor of the House."
Two days ago, Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar had said that no region is being discriminated against in the state in terms of development.
Keeping with the promise made during the Monsoon Session, the Winter Session of the Assembly has been convened so that all Legislators could raise issues concerning the people of their respective areas, he said.
