Haryana's Human Rights Commission to be strengthened: Hooda

The office of the commission would be set up in Chandigarh, Hooda said, according to an official release here.

The chief minister held a meeting with Chairman, Haryana State Human Rights Commission, Justice (Retd) Vijender Jain to discuss this here today.

He said the state government would provide all possible assistance to the commission for its smooth functioning.

Jain, who had also served as Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court, apprised the chief minister of the structure and functioning of the commission.

He said the commission would soon start functioning.
