Rajpal, who presided over a meeting to review passenger tax collection in the state, said these 'spotters' would record the number of buses not paying tax at toll collection points and inform the checking team of neighbouring district regarding non-payment of passenger tax by such vehicles.
Rajpal also directed that the neighbouring districts should share information and coordinate with each other while conducting roadside checking.
He directed that systematic barricades should be laid on highways to apprehend buses that try to avoid being captured by CCTV cameras installed at Kundli toll collection point in Sonipat district.
The Excise and Taxation Commissioner made it clear that the district bordering other states would be responsible for checking and collection of tax pertaining to buses plying on inter-state routes.
