The college head Vasuki Subramaniam surrendered in a court in Chennai on Jan 25 and was remanded in judicial custody, while two others, including its principal, were arrested in connection with the case.
The suicides came following recent protests by students alleging collection of exorbitant fees by the college and lack of amenities.
The deceased girls -- V Priyanka, T Monisha and E Saranya -- were second year students.
The girls' parents had also filed complaints claiming their daughters were murdered.
The triple-suicide has snowballed into a major issue with political parties demanding tough action.

Meanwhile, a senior official at Dr MGR Medical University, the governing body of medical education in Tamil Nadu, said the interests of the students would be kept in mind.
"It is our duty to take care of the students and their interests and they will be taken care of," the official said when asked about demands by students that they be accommodated in other educational institutions.
P Venkatesan, the driver of Vasuki Subramanian, the head of the Kallakurichi-based naturopathy and yoga college, surrendered before a Magistrate court at Saidapet.

Meanwhile, protests were held in Chennai and Villupuram over the death of the three girl students.
About 20 AAP volunteers were detained at Mundiyambakkam in Villupuram district for staging a protest without permission while about 40 RSYF activists were held here for trying to picket Raj Bhavan.
