HC dismisses petition on Katchatheevu festival

The Madras High Court bench here today dismissed a plea to allow government workers to attend the St. Anthony's Church festival in Katchativu on February 20 and 21 without no objection certificates from the respective heads of the department.
A bench, comprising Justice V.Ramasubramanian and Justice N.Kirubakaran, dismissed the petition by Mary of Koodal Nagar here on the ground that she was not a government employee and had no locus standi to make the plea.
