Hearing a petition from one M Ilamathi, Justice G R Swaminathan asked the TRB chairman and secretary to reply on February 22.
The petitioner submitted that the results and final key answers for non-engineering lecturers were released on November 7 last year, but the results were withdrawn and revaluation ordered following complaints of some irregularities.
During the revaluation, discrepancies were noted only in answer sheets of 200 candidates out of the 13,567 who took the exam in September 2017, she contended.
It was not fair to cancel the recruitment process just because irregularities were noticed in 200 OMR sheets, the petitioner contended.
Candidates should not undergo the ordeal of re-writing the examination and participating in the recruitment process again, the plea said.
The judge issued notice to the TRB chairman and Member-Secretary.
