A division bench comprising justices Hulwadi G Ramesh and L Narayanaswamy ordered issue of notices to Secretary Civil Aviation, DGCA, Airports Authority of India (AAI) and BIAL on the petition filed by an advocate G R Mohan.
The petitioner who had given a representation to the authorities concerned filed the PIL when no action was taken on his representation.
The petitioner said that the star hotel was being constructed by BIAL, not even half kilometre from the main terminal which would cause a major concern for safety of VIPs.
