The court was hearing a petition filed by Raheja Developers challenging the decision of CIDCO to take back the open space in front of the mall which was being used by the visitors for the last eight years.
A bench headed by Justice S C Dharmadhikari ordered that status quo be maintained in respect of such land and allowed the mall to continue using the place like it did before until the next hearing on January 17.
Raheja Developers today filed an affidavit in the court saying that in keeping with the earlier orders of the High Court, they had removed the boards displaying that the open space was being maintained by them.
This was stated in the affidavit because CIDCO had objected saying the open space belongs to them and the mall owners had wrongly put boards displaying that the ground was being maintained by Raheja Developers.
The hearing would continue next month.
