Justice V Suri Appa Rao today allowed the petition filed by Ratna Prabha urging the court to quash her name in the case against her on the grounds that CBI acted 'without jurisdiction and verifying the facts at the ground level'.
CBI's standing counsel Kesava Rao said the petition has been allowed and they are yet to receive order copy.
The CBI had earlier informed the court that the official, while she was secretary of information technology and communications department in undivided Andhra Pradesh, allegedly facilitated the arbitrary allotment of 250 acres of land at Shamshabad to Indu Techzone in gross violation of the Cabinet decision.
"I have requested the court to remove my name based on the merits of the case. Justice has been done. I have not done any favours to any firm or person. Everything was done as per procedure," Ratna Prabha said.
