suspended Thrissur Chief Judicial Magistrate V P Indira Devi, pending an enquiry into her allegedly meeting with an absconding accused.
The order in this regard was issued by the court registry after considering the preliminary report of Vigilance department.
The Bar Association of Chalakudy had referred a complaint against the magistrate alleging that she had met an absconding accused in that town on Mar 14 this year along with a DYSP and held discussions on certain matters.
The association along with their complaint produced a photograph and CD of the meeting.
According to the complaint, the magistrate held discussions with a woman court employee, accused in a case relating to missing of fine receipts.
