HCL Services files insolvency plea against UCX

IT firm HCL Infosystems today said its subsidiary HCL Services has filed an insolvency petition against Universal Commodity Exchange (UCX) for recovery of Rs 17 lakhs.

"HCL Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the company (ie HCL Infosystems Ltd) had filed an Insolvency petition as an Operational Creditor under the Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code (IBC) against Universal Commodity Exchange (UCX) for recovery of Rs 17 lakhs," HCL Infosystems said in a statement.

It added that National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai has, vide an order dated June 8, 2018, admitted the petition against UCX and appointed an interim resolution professional (IRP).

"...The above case has neither any material impact on the company nor does it falls under the material information' category under the SEBI (LODR), 2015," it said.
