A 50-year-old Delhi Police Head Constable allegedly committed suicide here on the day of Holi, police said today.
G Unnikrishnan, posted in the Police Control Room, was found hanging from the grill of a park's boundary wall in Tilak Lane yesterday, they said.
The cause for him taking the extreme step was not immediately known as he did not leave any suicide note.
Unnikrishnan, who joined Delhi Police in 1982, hailed from Kallara in Kerala's Thiruvanthanpuram district.
The body was sent to his native village today.
