Heat wave back in Raj; Kota hottest at 41.9

Heat wave conditions today revived in parts of Rajasthan as Kota and Chittorgarh were the hottest places where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.9 degree Celsius, a met report said here.
Mercury was on an upward trend in most places by one to four degree C due to dry weather conditions in north-west of the state, the report said.
However, some parts of the state received moderate rains in the last 24 hours with Mahwa recording maximum rainfall of 4 cm, followed by Baswa 3 cm, Aligarh 2 cm.
Barmer recorded a maximum temperature of 41.5 degree C followed by Churu 41.3 deg C, Bikaner 41.2 deg C, Jaipur 40.5 deg C, and Jodhpur 39.8 deg C.

Monsoon which arrived in the state on July 3 was inactive and is likely to revive in the next 48 hours in the state, a MeT forecast said.
