Heat wave in Jammu, temperature touches 42.3 degrees

Heat wave swept across Jammu region today as temperature went up to 42.3 degree Celsius, two degrees higher than yesterday.
The minimum temperature was recorded at 24 degree Celsius, a MeT department official said.
Due to the increase in the temperature, there was heat wave blowing in Jammu, forcing people to remain indoors, they said.
As per the MeT officials, there was dry hot weather in Jammu and Ladakh and light thunder and shower in isolated places in Kashmir.
Yesterday, Jammu recorded a maximum temperature of 40.2 degrees and minimum temperature was 22 degrees.
