According to Vinod Aggarwal, CEO of VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV), the commercial vehicle industry has finally come out of the recession.
"Looking at the current pace of the economy and huge investments, we may well surpass the peak by the end of this fiscal. We expect that it may go beyond 2.80 lakh units," said Aggarwal.
"The economy is doing good, mainly due to the huge investments being made by the Centre in infrastructure and core sector projects such as roads, ports, mining, railways and smart cities," said Aggarwal on the sidelines of the launch 'Eicher Pro 6037' truck here.
He said further the heavy-duty truck industry saw a decent 35 per cent growth in 2015-16 as around 2.28 lakh trucks were sold.
He is remains bullish on the LMD segment.
