The land slip occured at Kanjiyaar Panchayat and Pandipara near Kattappana in Idukki district causing damage to crop and property, official sources said.
Water level at the Idukki dam increased by about 2.5 feet today as the catchment area of the reservoir was getting heavy rains.
Shutters of Malankara reservoir in Idukki district were opened today following raise in water level.
In the northern part, land slide occurred on the on the Waynad pass.
District administration has given holiday for schools including professional colleges in Alappuzha and Idukki.
