Heavy vehicles banned on Mumbai roads during peak hours
Press Trust of India Mumbai To avoid traffic snarls, the city police today banned heavy vehicles on the roads during peak hours of 7 am to 11 am and 5 pm to 10 pm.
However the vehicles which carry essential supplies such as vegetables and milk, fire brigade or police vans, Government, semi-Government heavy vehicles and public transport buses will be exempted from the restrictions.
The order was issued by Sanjay Mohite, Additional Commissioner of Police, Traffic.
