Police and explosive experts today removed high decibel crackers from three cars found abandoned about 500 metres away from Puttingal temple, the scene of the fireworks tragedy that claimed 110 lives on Sunday.
The different types of crackers used during fireworks display have now been removed from the cars and have been kept in an open ground, which has been cordoned off by police.
The crackers will be defused soon after receiving court orders, police said.
Fingerprint experts have collected evidence from the cars to ascertain the identity of owners as at least 13 bodies are yet to be identified.
Around 350 injured persons are undergoing treatment at various hospitals.
