"There is no bogus ration card holder in the state and the demand of CBI probe by Virbhadra Singh into this imaginary scam is ridiculous," an official spokesman said.
He said the government was "fully aware" about the problem of bogus ration cards and was enquiring into the complaints from time to time.
Any ration card found to be bogus during the process was cancelled and FIRs were also registered against the defaulters, he added.
A total of 12,857 bogus APL ration cards were cancelled by the government in past four years, he said, adding that no BPL or AAY family ration card was found bogus during investigations.
