A Chinese plane was forced to land while four other flights were diverted in the eastern Jiangxi province today after hoax bomb threats were received, days after a terror attack at the Tiananmen Square here.
Chinese police detained a suspect who allegedly made the false threats affecting flights travelling to and from Changsha City of central China's Hunan Province.
The four planes were cleared for flying after a series of checks, state-run Xinhua news agency said.
Flight JD5662 of Capital Airlines, a regional carrier, landed at 1.01 pm, local time, in Nanchang city after the airline received a call about the bomb threat, the company said in a statement.
All passengers on the plane were safe, the statement said.
The aircraft, bound for the eastern city of Hangzhou, resumed its journey some time later.
The hoax calls coming in the backdrop of the October 28 Tiananmen Square terror attack, made police to force land the planes to check them for explosives.
Police are investigating the incident.
