Hogg says he is set to sign for Kolkata Knight Riders

Veteran Australian spinner Brad Hogg said that he is likely to play in the upcoming Indian Premier League in April-May as the Kolkata Knight Riders team was looking to get him on board.
Hogg, who will celebrate his 44th birthday next Friday, said after the Big Bash final that he was set to return to the lucrative IPL this year with a new team, the Kolkata Knight Riders.
Should he sign, the Knight Riders would represent Hogg's ninth Twenty20 domestic team across seven different countries.
"I was talking to Trevor Bayliss at the Kolkata Knight Riders. They are looking to get me over there. It looks like I'm going to the IPL as well," left-arm spinner Hogg was quoted as saying by 'Herald Sun'.

"Hopefully I get another season or two in the Big Bash here with the Perth Scorchers. There is no reason at all (to retire). As a bowling group with the Perth Scorchers it's been fantastic this year," he added.
Hogg has played for Antigua Hawksbills, Rajasthan Royals, Sylhet Royals, Wyamba United, Warwickshire, Cape Cobras, Western Australia and the Perth Scorchers. He has also taken seven wickets at T20 international level.

He finished with seven wickets at 18.28 and an economy rate of 5.33 for the Scorchers this season. His 40 wickets in the BBL are the second-highest in tournament history behind only Ben Laughlin and his economy rate is lower than any other bowler among the league's top 45 wicket takers.

"It's basically, if I'm fit I will put my name forward to go around again. I've been really enjoying it all so I don't have any thoughts about retiring. If I play in the IPL that takes me through to the end of May and then it's June, July, August and September so that's four months off to train with the Warriors," he said.
"If I play in the CPL (Caribbean Premier League), that will be a bonus and I don't have any problem playing club cricket because that has helped me," said Hogg who has played seven Tests and 123 ODIs for Australia between 1996 and 2008.
