Hooda welcomes inclusion of Jats in Central List of OBCs

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda has welcomed the Centre's decision for inclusion of Jats in the Central List of OBCs in the states of Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Rajasthan (two districts), Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand and Bihar.
Hooda thanked UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for including Jats in the Central list of OBC.
This decision would enable the Jat community to avail the benefits of reservation available to the Other Backward Classes for employment/admission in/to central government services and posts/educational institutions, an official release said here.
