Hot day in Delhi, mercury rises to 39 degrees C

It was a hot day in the national capital today with the mercury settling at 39 degrees Celsius, three notches above normal.
"The maximum temperature settled at 39 degrees Celsius while the minimum was recorded at 23 degrees, both three notches above normal for this time of the year," a MeT official said.
The humidity levels oscillated between 57 and 17 percent.
The maximum and minimum temperature recorded at Safdarjung observatory were 38 and 23 degrees Celsius respectively, he said.
The weatherman has forecast partly cloudy sky tomorrow. However, there is no possibility of rain.
Yesterday, the maximum temperature was recorded at 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum was 21 degrees Celsius.
