The Safdarjung observatory, whose recording is considered the official for the city, registered a maximum temperature of 37.8 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.
Today's minimum temperature was recorded at 25.6 degrees Celsius, three notches above the normal, said a Met department official.
The Palam observatory registered a maximum temperature of 38.4 degrees Celsius, while areas under Lodhi Road, Ridge and Ayanagar recorded a day temperature of 38, 38.2 and 38.5 degrees Celsius, respectively, a MeT department official said.
The Met office has predicted overcast conditions for tomorrow.
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 and 24 degrees Celsius, respectively," the official said.
Yesterday, the maximum and minimum temperatures had settled at 39.6 and 26.8 degrees Celsius, respectively.
