Hot weather conditions prevailed in most parts of Haryana and Punjab today, with Narnaul sizzling at 45 degrees Celsius.
Narnaul in Haryana recorded a 3 degrees Celsius above normal maximum temperature, Meteorological (MeT) Department report said here.
Among other places in Haryana, blistering heat swept Hisar, which recorded a high of 44 degrees Celsius while Bhiwani, too, experienced a hot day at 44 degrees Celsius.
Ambala recorded a high of 38.7 degrees Celsius.
In Punjab, Amritsar had a hot day at 41.6 degrees Celsius. Ludhiana and Patiala, too, experienced the hot weather recording respective maximum temperatures of 40.7 degrees Celsius and 39.5 degrees Celsius.
Chandigarh, the common capital of the two states, recorded a high of 39.4 degrees Celsius.
