Hyd Police to become paperless from next month """""""""

The Hyderabad City Police is all set to become paperless by adopting 'E-Office' software from next month.

With a force of 12,000, the city police will be the first in the country to have this system, a press release said.

All officers from all police stations and the Commissioner's office have undergone training for the purpose. There would be efficient and better professionalism with usage of application of E-Office, it said.

The release said it was also a very environmental friendly initiative as use of computers and not papers for transferring files would enable the force save more"than one lakh trees a year.

Not only that, there would be faster movement of files, the process would be transparent and pendency of files could be checked, the release added.
